Happy Fall
I love Texas fall weather! Autumn has forever been my favorite season. I always loved my Midwest falls, they were just so short lived. Here in Texas, we've had beautiful fall weather for about a steady 3-4 weeks! Plus, I've been told by locals that this will continue through November and maybe even into December! I love it!! The mornings are pretty cool and you need a jacket, but as soon as the sun comes up, beautiful! I eat outside, spend my work breaks outside--it is just lovely. Plus, the boys live outside pretty much constantly now.
I've been thinking about how few people have seen our home and town so I thought I'd give some picture tours. I'll try to give some random shots of our town and also how our home is coming along.
So here is our front porch decked and ready for fall.
We even turned on our fireplace the other night. We haven't had to turn on our heat yet since the sun warms our home up each day. That's been very nice!
This is what our subdivision looks like when we enter it.
These are some random shots from around town.
Jason had a field trip yesterday to a pumpkin patch. Kevin went along. He snapped some really cute pics, but they are on a camera and I'm on my phone. But here is one of J with his pumpkin.
Here is a photo of Maxwell with his football team.
For football news, all three boys start playoffs next Saturday. It's win or game over. Should be exciting!
Last week was Prosper's homecoming. Here are some photos from the boys dressed up for different days.
Luke had Duck Dynasty Day and the younger two had camo day. Max was home sick that day.
Then the younger two had 50s Day.
While Luke had Prosper Pride Day.
Then it was Silly Sock Day
and wacky day.
Last was Prosper Spirit Day.
We have also been cheering on our Cardinals! Luke has requested to wear Cardinals gear every single day, literally. I've been more than happy to see that his request is granted!

Texas State Fair
What a great time we had at the State Fair of Texas. I'd been told by many friends & co-workers that I "had" to visit the state fair. So on Sunday, October 6th, we headed to downtown Dallas for the state fair!
The first thing we had to do was find Big Tex! Jason was set on finding the big cowboy! If you don't know the story of Big Tex, Google him. He actually caught on fire at last year's fair so it was a big unveiling this year...the new Big Tex in his 61st year.
Of course, we tried some of the fried fair food, too. Every year there are winners announced about 4-6 weeks before the fair. So we tried the overall winner, fried thanksgiving dinner and the best tasting winner, fried cookie dough. We ordered one serving of each and split them between the five of us. They were actually pretty tasty, but I'm glad I only had a 1/5 of the servings!! They fry ANYTHING, truly! Fried s'mores, fried Oreos, fried Nutella, fried peanut butter & jelly, fried butter, fried pumpkin pie, fried lemonade shakeup, fried pizza, fried avocado, fried, fried, fried!
I took photos of some of the fried food signs.
Then after some fried food we decided we should probably get on some rides. So we all rode the Texas Star which was awesome!
We were as high as the blimp and some landing planes. ;)
Since Kevin doesn't do twirly rides, and I love them, I rode the Crazy Mouse with the boys. Here is the unflattering evidence:
We had a chance to walk through some of the animal barns
