We had a week filled with lots of fun and new experiences!
To give a rundown, Max has now also had his first football practice. Both vehicles now have the Texas stickers and license plates on them. We bought tickets for a Texas Rangers game. We've had a true experience of the summer heat of Texas. We visited a local water park to cool off.
Kevin stepped on a fire ant hill. We bought fire ant killer.
Our packing debris (boxes, paper) was picked up by the moving company.
The other side needs a trip to Goodwill to get cleared out so we can then park both autos in the garage!
So it seems like we are getting settled right in.
I was thinking today how good I feel here in this town and this state. I feel so at home. The church we have been attending has really helped in that area. The Pastor is wonderful and the congregation is so friendly and welcoming. It may sound corny, but it just "feels" like home.
That's not to say that I/we don't have tough moments of missing our old life, our comfort zone; but I can see that we will get a comfort zone here. I know that, with time, we won't be able to imagine leaving this home, this town or this state.
We are on our way!
