I had the parent meeting for Kindergarten. I learned a lot and gained even more confidence in our choice of a fabulous school district!
Which caused a very late night and three tired little boys!
Then of course we celebrated a birthday with our sweet Max-man turning 8!
I'll post more on his birthday later. It deserves a separate post!
Luke had his schedule pick-up at school. Gracious, how can my boy be ready for classroom rotation and a locker...with a combination?! We walked his schedule and met his teachers. I let him find his way and didn't help with anything because he was able to handle it all without any trouble. I was impressed. I don't always feel like I am prepping the boys enough for the next step. I was happy and relieved by what I observed with Luke! Plus, his teachers were all extremely nice and they made comments about his manners and great attitude.
I was also happy that he saw kids he knew. Others said hi to him by name and he was able to greet them in the same way.
I should've snapped a photo of him by his locker, but I forgot. But I did take one of this new student welcome.
He certainly won't be the only new student!
At schedule pick-up we also got our Prosper gear that we ordered. Luke couldn't even wait to get to the car before he put on his new hat!
Now tomorrow evening we will meet Maxwell and Jason's teachers at "Meet the Teacher Night" at their school.
Then the big day will be Monday (8/26), the McCleary boys make their debut with the Prosper School District!
I might shed a few tears that day...just maybe. I can't believe this summer is coming to an end. But yet it seems like our time in Indiana was years ago. We have certainly had a jammed packed summer--one that we will forever remember, I'm sure!
